Celebrate Women’s History Month at the Zoo! Join us for hands-on educational activities and community partners inside the Penguin Education Center as we honor the incredible contributions of women in wildlife and conservation.
Throughout March, take part in a special scavenger hunt exploring trailblazing women in zoology from around the world. Don’t miss Story Time featuring inspiring books by women authors. Be sure to stop by the Wild Things Gift Shop to view a special presentation recognizing women professionals in animal care, science, and conservation who continue to shape the future of our field.
This event is free with Zoo admission or membership.
What to expect:
- 10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Women’s History Month Scavenger Hunt through the Zoo
- 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Special STEM activity in the Penguin Education Center Classroom
- 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Story Time

- Photo ops with a Zoo mascot
- Free, unlimited train and carousel rides
