Families can celebrate Halloween and the fall season; new this year, kids can check out BGE’s massive, electric trucks and meet a renowned dinosaur expert

BALTIMORE, MD Free trick-or-treating, live entertainment games, prizes, and lots of fun will be on hand at the Maryland Zoo during Zoo BOO! presented by Chase this Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30.

There will be a free and fun costume contest during Zoo BOO! Judging categories include best animal, most original, scariest, and best character. Kids can enter in three age categories: 0-3, 4-7, and age 8 and up.

New this year, BGE is bringing some cool, massive utility trucks from its fleet of electric vehicles that kids can climb on and get into. And, Dino Don Lessum, a dinosaur expert and creator of Dino Don Inc., one of the world’s leading makers of full-sized, robotic dinosaurs, will be here to talk about the Zoo’s DINOSAURS exhibit and answer kids’ questions about our prehistoric past.

“Families can experience great fall and Halloween traditions in a setting unlike any other in the region,” said Zoo President & CEO, Kirby Fowler. “We are really happy to continue our partnership with BGE to showcase special trucks to everyone.”

To better support this sustainable technology, BGE has installed three public EVsmart® electric vehicle chargers in front of the Zoo.

Zoo Boo! is free with Zoo admission. All the event information, including times, ticket prices, and the event schedule is available on our Zoo BOO! event page.
