Day-long festival includes artisans, food vendors, and cultural performances
Maryland Zoo celebrates Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) culture with a day-long festival this Saturday, May 16, from 10 am – 4 pm, with performances, artisans, and food vendors. The event is rain or shine and free with Zoo admission. Entry includes free parking and unlimited rides on the Zoo’s train and carousel.

NEW THIS YEAR
10 am: Chinese lion dancing (Main Entrance)
11 am & 3 pm: UMBC Korean Dance Club Performances (Main Entrance)
1 pm: Hula performance (Zoo Central)
2 pm: KPOP dance workshop for all ages (Main Entrance)
All day long: origami craft making with Pinwheel Crafts (while supplies last)
In addition to food vendors and performances, there will be educational stations, Keeper Chats, kids’ story time, face painting, and more.
