BALTIMORE, MD – Maryland Zoo is blossoming with spring events from Easter through Memorial Day weekend.
Pro tip! The most economical way to attend Zoo events is through a Zoo membership. Members have access to popular activities like Bunny BonanZOO for free. With ticketed events, they receive advance notice and discounted pricing. Members will also be able to get to know all the Zoo’s animals, like Big Mac (the newest addition to the giraffe herd) and the brand new red panda habitat opening this summer.

- Wedding Showcase – (Saturday, March 21, noon – 3 pm) Maryland Zoo is the ultimate wedding destination. Couples planning their big day can visit the Zoo during this open house. Whether you envision a ceremony surrounded by nature, or a reception with a wild twist, this is the perfect opportunity to see what the Zoo has to offer.
- Bunny BonanZOO – Presented by Mary Sue Candies (Friday-Sunday, April 3-5, 10 am – 4 pm) This is one of the Zoo’s most egg-citing events of the year for kids with an egg hunt, entertainment, games, crafts, and a special bubble show. Free with Zoo admission.
- Breakfast with Bunny – (Friday & Saturday, April 3rd &4th, 8 am – 10 am) Enjoy a fun-filled breakfast and photo-op with the Easter Bunny, Spring crafts, and animal ambassadors. Zoo admission is included in the ticket price.
- Pizza with Bunny – Is just like Breakfast with Bunny but runs from 11:30 am – 1 pm.
- Maryland Zoo’s 150th Birthday Party – On Tuesday, April 7th Maryland Zoo officially turns 150 years old and everyone is invited to the party. The first 150 guests through the gate will receive a cupcake. Guests who share a birthday will receive free admission. At noon, the Zoo will put the ceremonial final layer on their LEGO birthday cake in Penguin Coast. Free with Zoo admission.
- An Evening of Zoo Stories – (Saturday, April 25, 6:30 pm). Everyone with fond memories of a trip to a zoo is invited to share it before a live audience during a special evening in the Zoo’s historic Mansion House with Stoop Storytelling. A live band and animal ambassadors round out the event. Story submissions must be made in advance.
- Brew at the Zoo – Presented by M&T Bank (Saturday & Sunday, May 23rd & 24th, 1 – 7 pm) Celebrate Memorial Day all weekend long with bands, food & craft vendors, party games, and the region’s largest tasting event for beer, cider, and seltzers.
Each Zoo event supports animal care and conservation. And, speaking of animals, spring is a great time to see them at Maryland Zoo. The grizzly bears are waking up from hibernation. Turtles, snakes, and other cold-blooded animals will be visible as the temperature warms. And it’s the perfect time to meet Big Mac, the Zoo’s newest giraffe.
