Join us as we celebrate the Zoo’s 150th birthday, a wild day filled with family fun! The first 150 guests will receive a cupcake. Guests who share a birthday with the Zoo will also receive free admission plus a commemorative birthday button.

What to expect:
  • Cupcakes for the first 150 guests
  • Free admission and souvenir button for guests who share an April 7th birthday
  • Unveiling the next layer of the Zoo’s LEGO birthday cake, featuring Zoo animals and milestone moments – 12 pm
  • Special appearance by Poe, mascot of the Baltimore Ravens – 12:30 pm
  • Musical performances by keyboardist Jarrett Rettman
  • 150th arts and crafts station, face painting, story time, and puppet shows
  • Special 150th Celebration animal enrichment and keeper chats
    • 10:30 am – Lions
    • 11:15 am – Sitatunga & Saddle-billed stork
    • 11:30 am – Cape porcupine
    • 11:45 am – Warthog
    • 12:00 pm – Elephant
    • 1:30 pm – Giraffe & Okapi (Outdoor yard)
    • 1:45 pm – Giraffe (Inside Giraffe House)
  • Animal Ambassador visits – 11:30 am and 1:30 pm in Main Valley
  • Exploration Zones
  • Historical Tours – 11 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, and 1:30 pm in Main Valley
