Family Camp – Survival Edition!
Join us this August for our inaugural Family Camp, survival-style! Adults and children will unite to embark on exclusive zoo adventures, testing their skills and resilience to survive on planet Earth. This program is for adult care-givers and children entering grades 3 – 12 in the fall of 2025.

Please note: Family Camp is a three-day experience; registration for individual days is not available.
camp HOURS:
- 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Wednesday
ACTIVITIES:
Family Camp activities may* include:
- Immersive tours of the Zoo
- Interacting with the animal experts
- Unique Zoo experiences and Keeper Chats
- Special up-close visits with Animal Ambassadors
- Creating nature and wildlife crafts
- Learning ways we can all help protect wildlife and wild places!
*Due to animal and keeper needs, activities are subject to change without notice.
camp FEES:
Program fee includes one adult and one youth (8+) registration.
- Member: $900*
- Non-member: $1000

*Zoo membership must be current at both the time of registration and during camp.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO CAMP?
- Rubber boots (required)
- Refillable water bottle (labeled with camper name)
- Lunch (or money to purchase lunch on site)
- Snack
- Sunscreen (recommended)
- Bug spray (recommended)
- Hat (recommended)
- Medications (where applicable)
- Rain gear—dress for the weather!
Youth Age Policy: Some portions of Family Camp take place with keepers in non-public areas, participants must be over 8 years old and able to do the following:
- Work in small teams to complete a task
- Follow multi-step directions without repeated prompting
- Tolerate exposure to strong smells, loud or sudden noises, hot and humid conditions, tightly enclosed areas, and potential allergens (nuts, hay, fur, feathers)
Cancellation/Change Policy: A $50 non-refundable processing fee applies for any requested changes made to, or cancellation of, any confirmed registration. Cancellations received at least two weeks (10 business days) prior to the start of a Camp date will receive a full refund, minus the $50 processing fee. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received fewer than 10 business days prior to the Camp start date or for any missed days of Camp. In the event the Zoo cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
