A Stately Historic Location

The Mansion House at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore (circa 1801) is a truly stylish setting for special occasions. Large windows on all sides of the elegant, wrap-around porch overlook Druid Hill Park and the older treed areas of the Zoo. While the historic nature of the building adds a notable charm to the space, the individually controlled chandeliers allow for smooth transitions to set any mood, and the building also has full air-conditioning and heating for a distinguished setting with modern comfort.

Wedding Ceremonies (1 hour): $1,200

  • Winter Rates: $500 off in January and February

“We held our wedding at the Mansion House in September 2024 with about 85 guests and had a blast. First, zoo staff allowed us to arrive well in advance of our ceremony so we had plenty of time to take photos around the zoo as a couple, including feeding Cesar the Giraffe (which was awesome). That way, we could use all of our time at the Mansion House to celebrate with family and friends (plus an African penguin and an Eastern screech owl). The Mansion House Porch served as the perfect aisle for our ceremony, and was seamlessly “flipped” into the dining/ dancing area while guests enjoyed cocktails. We did not have a wedding coordinator, and the zoo’s staff stepped in to work with our caterer and make sure the day went smoothly, which we greatly appreciated. The zoo provided all tables and chairs as part of the rental fee, and we opted to rent our own dance floor rental which I would highly recommend. We danced the night away, and loved that we were in close proximity to the Fells Point area for our after party.”

*Prices reflect a 4-hour event not including the ceremony hour. The Zoo provides maintenance personnel in case of emergency and free parking. Set up (2 hours) and tear down (1 hour) are included. Additional hours may be added for a fee. Rental fee does not include Zoo admission, catering, rides, audio-visual equipment, and/or other Zoo services. Rates may change without notice.
