Go inside the rarely discussed world of wildlife matchmaking at zoos and the behind-the-scenes work that leads to love. Held on the Zoo’s historic Mansion House porch, this event is both fascinating and fun for couples looking for a unique Valentine’s Day experience. This adult-oriented evening also includes an open bar of beer, wine and soft drinks, sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, decadent desserts and live music by Jazz Caravan (all guests must be over 21 years old). Plus, don’t miss special appearances and photo opportunities with some of the Zoo’s own animals. Attire is business, but feel free to show your “wild” side!

  • Amy Demchek, Maryland Zoo Animal Manager – join a wild look behind-the-scenes of mating happening currently in the Zoo’s Africa Barn.  Be the first to hear about new sitatunga calves and more exclusive breeding updates.  Amy shares the news happening with these very ‘active’ antelopes and other animals she manages including, warthogs, polar bears and more.
