Monthly nature walks with the Zoo’s Naturalist for members only.
One the first Sunday of each month participants will explore a different natural area and learn about wild animals and native plants.
These events are free of charge, but pre-registration is required.
Meet at 10:30 am at the Otter Statue at the Main Entrance of the Zoo.
To reserve your space for this event you must be registered on the Zoo’s online store. If you have not created registration before, click below. Once you do, you’ll automatically be eligible to sign up for a SunBeam Sunday event.
January 14th 10:30 AM-11:30 AM – Mortal Enemies – Owls and Crows – Explore the open spaces of the Zoo to learn about the fascinating interplay between native owls and crows.
February 4th 10:30 AM-11:30 AM– Signs of the Times – Animal Track Stories – A snow-covered landscape provides the perfect canvas to investigate the track stories of local mammals and birds.
March 4th 10:30 AM-11:30 AM– Timberdoodles – The American Woodcock and other Late Winter Dancers – “ Learn the dance moves of the timberdoodle during this late winter sojourn through the Zoo.
