Penguin construction is on track with no delays, thank you Mother Nature for wonderful weather! As of now, guests may notice a little bit more hustle and bustle going on behind the fence. The construction crew has done some demolition and is beginning to excavate the soil below. From the guest stand point, you will be able to see into the construction zone while walking the boardwalk in African Journey. So expect to see and hear the movement of machines as they dig!
Just a reminder when you come to visit, a few things have changed!
- The shuttle into the Zoo has moved to the walking path
- The entrance to Polar Bear Watch has moved
- The entrance to Africa has moved (the big orange African Journey sign is moving shortly too)
Follow the signs directing you where to go if you are confused and we promise you won’t get lost!
