BALTIMORE, MD – On October 11, The Maryland Zoo will once again play host to a variety of “beasts of burden” better known as big trucks! Always a favorite family event, these “Trucks for Tots” will be “on exhibit” from the top of Buffalo Yard Road winding their way down towards Creature Encounters, from 10:00AM – 1:00PM. Kids of all ages are welcome to visit the trucks, including a concrete mixer, roll-off truck, crane, and hopefully a fire engine!

“The Maryland Zoo is a staple for so many families and Chase is proud to be able to bring Trucks for Tots to the community in a safe, family friendly environment,” said Elana Thornton, a member of the Maryland Zoological Society Board of Trustees and Chase Maryland Market Director.

This year, Trucks for Tots will look a bit different as we make COVID-based adjustments to the event for our guests’ comfort:

  • Families can take pictures with the trucks, but due to COVID restrictions, we will not be able to touch or sit in the trucks this year!
  • Timed ticketing reservations are required to enter the Zoo. Trucks for Tots is a free event and does not require a separate ticket.
  • Face masks must be worn in the event area for children and adults ages 2 & up.
  • General admission tickets for October 11th are on sale now.

Thank you to our generous sponsor Chase. This event is rain or shine. For updates on Truck for Tots, presented by Chase, and other upcoming Zoo events, please click here.
