The Maryland Zoo is where the wild things snore during our Zoo Snooze overnight events! Join other zoo-loving folks for one of the upcoming family sleepovers being held at the Zoo in 2016. Sleepover guests will explore the Zoo in the dark with our expert staff guides to learn about African penguins, polar bears, African reptiles and mammals, and some of the native nocturnal animals that roam Druid Hill Park.
Families with children ages 6 and up are welcome to join in the fun! Participants will tour the Zoo from a whole new perspective, visit natural habitats looking for nocturnal creatures, explore animal senses through participatory games, listen to campfire stories and songs, hang out with old friends and get to know some new ones!
Overnights begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and end at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $50/person for members and $65/person for non-members and include dinner, Continental breakfast, games, activities, and admission to the Zoo on the following day. Zoo Snooze event dates are:

- August 6-7 (Waterfowl Lake)

- October 8-9 (Penguin Coast)
- November 12–13 (Penguin Coast)
- December 17–18 (Penguin Coast)
Guests will provide their own camping items such as sleeping bags, pillows, flashlights (no headlamps), toiletries, reusable water bottle, change of clothes (seasonal attire), and medications.
