The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is excited to announce the 6th annual “OktoBEARfest,” Fall beer festival to be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017, in conjunction with Baltimore Beer Week. The event runs from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Zoo’s Waterfowl Lake Pavilion area and will feature a host of seasonal ales, Oktoberfest inspired foods and live music, sponsored by Jerry’s Toyota and Bond Distributing.

This year there will be over 60 beers on tap, more than double last years’ brews! Beer brands to be poured include, but are not limited to: Angry Orchard, Bells, Blue Moon, Boulevard Brewing Co., Brewers Art, Charm City Meadworks, Coney Island Brewing Co., DuClaw Brewing Co., Flying Dog Brewery, Franziskaner, Harpoon Brewery, Hofbrau, Jailbreak Brewing Co., Key Brewing Co., Leinenkugel, Monchshof, Monument City Brewing Co., Natty Boh, New Belgium Brewing Co., New Holland Brewing, Sam Adams, Shiner, Spaten, Stiegl, Terrapin Beer Co., Traveler Beer Co., Wyndridge Farm, Yards, and Yuengling. OktoBEARfest tickets range from $15-$65 and each drinking ticket (for those 21 and over) includes unlimited sampling, a commemorative event glass, live music from local bands The Muddy Crows and Bad with Names, admission to the Zoo, as well as access to food and artisan vendors. Purchase tickets by August 31st and save $20 off the gate price of $55. The earlier you buy, the more you save!

Don’t forget the OktoBEARfest VIP ticket option! VIP tickets are $65 and include a special mason jar commemorative glass for full-sized sampling — only available in limited quantities. VIPs must be 21 or over. Zoo members save $10 off all tickets with membership number at checkout.

Once again the Zoo will partner with Transdev Transportation to provide FREE shuttle service from Baltimore’s Penn Station. Shuttles will run from 11am-4:30pm on event day and will pick up on the Charles Street side of Penn Station which is accessible by Light Rail and by the Purple line of Baltimore’s free bus, the Charm City Circulator.
