What day is it??? (Hump Day!) The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is happy welcome two summer resident Dromedary camels that arrive today from their winter home in Missouri with Chester’s World Enterprises. They will take a few days to settle in to their new surroundings after the trip here and then, starting Saturday, May 7, guests can take the ride of their lives on the back of one these desert dwellers.

Camel rides are offered at the Zoo daily, from 10:30 am until 4:00 pm, for $7.00 per person from Saturday, May 7 through Labor Day, Monday, September 5. Riders two years of age and younger must be accompanied by an older responsible rider. The Camel rides are located in between the old Rock Island penguin exhibit and the Elephant Overlook.

Bring your family, bring your camera and climb aboard a camel!
