One-time volunteering

Want to help, but not ready for a regular commitment?  You can make a meaningful contribution by giving a few hours at a service day or special event.  Meet great people with similar interests, enjoy a fabulous work environment, and support the Zoo! 

Currently, volunteers are needed to help for:

• Brew at the Zoo and Wine, Too! - Volunteer for this special festival happening May 28 – 29, 2011.  Your help is needed with all the days activities,  including pouring fine beer and wine, guest support, and more!  You, or your group, can choose to volunteer any or all of this 2-day event. There are two volunteer shifts each day, from 11:30am-3:30pm and from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Other one-time volunteer opportunities:

• Wild Weed Warrior Days - Help our small staff of horticulturists keep the Zoo beautiful and free of invasive species.  All tools are provided, and no special skills or training is required.
• Special Events - Join us for a special event like ZooBOOO!, Brew at the Zoo, or one of our animal-themed breakfasts.  Volunteers make the events special by playing games and making crafts with our guests, providing directions and information, wearing our mascot costumes, and much more.
