The Maryland Zoo’s historic Mansion House (circa. 1801) is a truly elegant setting for special occasions. Large windows on all sides of the stately, wrap-around porch overlook Druid Hill Park and the older treed areas of the Zoo. Adding to the majestic ambiance are individually controlled chandeliers showcasing buttery golden paintwork, white trim and gold leaf detailing. The unique four-sided layout of the fully enclosed and carpeted porch easily facilitates an event flow.

This space can accommodate gatherings of up to 200 guests for seated events, or 250 guests for stand-up events and cocktail parties. Perfect for weddings with up to 180 guests. The Lakeside Pavilion can be used for a one-hour wedding ceremony if reserved in conjunction with the Porch for the reception. The Mansion House Porch is a wonderful site for weddings, corporate parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, family celebrations, proms and more! Available September though early June.

Price reflects a four-hour event. Caterer set-up time of 3 hours and breakdown time of 1 ½ hours are included in the rental fee. Additional event or set-up hours are $440 - $725 per each additional hour. Rental fees include 150 chairs, 15 round 60” tables, 4 cocktail tables, 10 banquet tables, Zoo on-site, security, and maintenance staff. Rental fees do not include zoo admission, catering, rides, audio-visual equipment and/or additional zoo services. Parking is free.

Waterfowl Lake Pavilion provides a beautifully landscaped location for your next outdoor event. This space can accommodate anywhere from 50 to 5,000 guests with plenty of room for activities - perfect for large corporate picnics, family reunions, wedding receptions, all day retreats and more! Located near the Zoo’s main gate and tram stop with easy access to exhibits. Discounted admission tickets available in conjunction with rental. Available April through October.

Price reflects a four-hour rental. Includes enough picnic-table seating to accommodate up to 150 guests. Caterer set-up time of 3 hours and breakdown time of 1 ½ hours are included in rental fee. When it comes to an outdoor wedding ceremony, reception or small group gathering, the Zoo’s Lakeside Pavilion is a private, serene setting with a spectacular waterfront view complete with a fountain. This intimate area accommodates up to 100 guests for a seated luncheon or early dinner and is the perfect backdrop for your special event. The Lakeside Pavilion is highly recommended for wedding ceremonies with up to 200 guests, receptions, anniversary parties and more! Available April through October.

Price reflects a four-hour event. Rate is $400 per hour if rented in conjunction with Mansion House Porch or Waterfowl Pavilion. Caterer set-up time of 3 hours and breakdown time of 1 ½ hours are included in rental fee. Zoo on-site, security, and maintenance staff included.
