This June & July, visit the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) for another truly wild experience! Take a round-tripo through AVAM’s current exhibition, “The Art of Storytelling: Lies, Enchantment, Humor & Truth” and tour three historic buildings filled with wonders created by farmers, housewives, mechanics, retired folk, the disabled, the homeless – all inspired by the fire within! Maryland Zoo members will receive buy one, get one admission with their Zoo membership card from June 1, 2013, thru July 31, 2013.  AVAM is the official national museum and education center for self-taught, intuitive artistry, located next to historic Federal Hill park at 800 Key Highway in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.  Museum is open Tuesday – Sunday, 10am-6pm (closed Mondays). Take your Maryland Zoo membership with you for savings on entry to participating zoos and aquariums all over the country!

Each year zoos across the nation sign up to offer either 50% off admission or FREE admission to current members of other participating zoos.  The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore participates as a FREE zoo, meaning any zoo on this list that you see marked FREE, you will receive FREE admission, and any zoo marked 50%, you will receive half price admission.  Please note that the list may change during the year, and it is always best to call a participating zoo while planning a visit.  Most of the institutions will allow up to two adults and two children, or one adult and three children in for FREE or ½off, but charge normal admission for additional guests beyond that number.
