The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore's Members-Keep Warm and Have Fun in January & February series!

Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will close for the winter season this year beginning on January1, 2010 and will reopen March 1, 2010.

Dear Member,

We want you, as a member, to experience a year’s worth of animal and educational adventures despite our winter closing. In order to accomplish this goal, we have some exciting opportunities for you! The Maryland Zoo staff will remain on grounds throughout the winter, taking care of the Zoo and animals, and we will keep you updated on exciting adventures for you and your family to do this winter by updating our website and sending out monthly e-blasts.

The Zoo has partnered with the B&O Railroad Museum and Maryland Science Center again this year, as well as Port Discovery Children’s Museum! All three organizations hope that you choose to visit them often in January and February. A maximum of two (2) adults and (2) children, or one (1) adult and three (3) children will be permitted to enter for free on each visit-- any additional members will be asked to pay normal admission rates—throughout the months of January and February 2010. You must present a valid Maryland Zoo membership card each time you visit, and you may visit as often as you like throughout the two months.

In addition, Port Discovery is offering a $5.00 discount to Maryland Zoo members on any and all of their memberships throughout the months of January and February 2010. You must present your valid membership card to receive this discount.

Please check out reciprocal list often for the most up to date list of zoos you may visit across the nation year round. The list includes Zoo’s all across the nation who accepts Maryland Zoo members, many in warmer climates.
