Enjoy a special walk for adults with guided early morning access to some of the exclusive natural areas within the Zoo grounds including Waterfowl Lake and Philosopher’s Walk. Although bird watching will be the major activity, a Zoo educator will provide natural history interpretation on any plants and animals encountered along the way!

Each program is FREE. However, all participants, including members, must leave and re-enter the Zoo to visit the exhibits during normal operating hours.

Participants will be met by Zoo staff at the Main Gate at 7:50 a.m. on the day of the program. Please note, after the walk begins, the Main Gate will be locked promptly at 8:00 a.m.  Any participants arriving after that time will not be admitted.

No sign-up is necessary. Participants are welcome to drop-in but should be aware that once the gates are closed there is no way to enter the Zoo until it opens at 10:00 a.m.
