AFTER SCHOOL WITH THE ZOO

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore has developed an after-school curriculum - "After School with The Zoo" - targeted to 4th-8th graders. The curriculum explores themes of biodiversity, wilderness and conservation in an interactive, hands-on manner. The full curriculum includes two 60-minute programs per week exploring topics ranging from Maryland Habitats to Zoo Careers for a total of 12 visits. The first weekly session introduces the topic and the second session covers it in more detail. You may also customize a program to fit into your own after-school curriculum by selecting an individual topic and number of visits.

Please call the Outreach Department at 443-552-5300 for more information.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Bring the Maryland Zoo to your next community festival!  Outreach staff and volunteer EdZOOcators will share their expertise and excitement about the natural world with your community.  Animal programs and biofact programs are available.  Programs are subject to approval and staff availability.  Please call 443-552-5300 for more information.
