Travel beyond the boundaries of your classroom walls with hands-on field trips at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Bring your classroom lessons to life as students traverse the wilds of Africa, explore sub-Arctic tundra and venture through the caves, forests, meadows and wetlands of Maryland. They’ll remember this trip forever.
You and your students may explore the Zoo on a self-guided field trip. Consider a visit September through March when the animals are generally more active and the crowds are small.
Fees: Field trips are FREE for students of Maryland public, private and home schools, day care facilities and Head Starts. One adult (teacher or chaperone) enters free for every four Maryland students admitted. Additional children may attend at a cost of $8 per child. Extra adults who visit with field trips between August 26, 2013 and June 13, 2014, will pay the following rates:
