Bring your classroom lessons to life as students traverse the wilds of Africa, explore sub-Arctic tundra and venture through the caves, forests, meadows and wetlands of Maryland. They’ll remember this trip forever.
FREE Field Trip for Maryland Students
Immerse your students in the world of science, math, and reading, and other subjects with a FREE self-guided field trip. This interactive visit to the Zoo engages children with the animals and habitats of Africa and the sub-Arctic, as well as the caves, forests, meadows, and wetlands of Maryland. Visits are enhanced by special Zoo Education Stations where students interact with knowledgeable Zoo educators, come face to face with Animal Ambassadors, and participate in hands-on activities designed to support Maryland curriculum requirements.
Field trips are FREE for students of Maryland public, private and home schools, day care facilities and Head Starts. One adult (teacher or chaperone) enters free for every four Maryland students admitted. Additional, non-student children can attend at a cost of $8 per child.
From August 25, 2014 until June 19, 2015, additional adults visiting with a pre-registered Maryland school will pay the following rates:
