Requesting a Donation from The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore receives hundreds of donation requests for fundraising events and charitable causes each year. As the Zoo is a non-profit organization, we are only able to grant a limited number of requests. In order for a request to receive consideration, the following guidelines must be followed:
1. All donation requests must be put in writing, on your organization's letterhead, and sent via U.S. mail to:
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
Druid Hill Park
Baltimore , MD 21217
Attention: Ticket Donations
In your letter, please provide a description of your organization, as well as the date and details of your event. Please also clearly state the mailing address to which the Zoo should reply. Due to the large number of requests that we receive, we are unable to accept any requests via phone, fax, or e-mail.
2. All requests must be received by the Zoo a minimum of two months prior to your event , in order to allow time for processing. We are unable to make any exceptions to this rule.
3. The Zoo is only able to donate tickets in response to requests. We cannot grant requests for memberships, behind the scenes tours, or gift shop items. Tickets are good for one year after they are printed; we cannot exchange tickets that were not used prior to their expiration date.
4. Generally about four weeks before your event, the Zoo will send a written response letting you know whether or not we are able to donate tickets. Again, due to the large number of requests that we receive, we are unable to take any follow-up phone calls or e-mails checking on the status of an individual request that has already been submitted.
