Creature Encounters

meetmecreature

Daily from 10:00am – 12:00pm and 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Interact with wildlife at The Maryland Zoo. Every day from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 12:30pm to 2:30pm see some of the Zoo’s most curious creatures up close. IN THE WINTER SEASON ANIMALS MOVE INDOORS AND CAN BE FOUND IN THE CHIMPANZEE FOREST.  It’s your chance to see reptiles, birds, amphibians and small animals of all kinds.  During the early spring season Creature Encounters animals can be spotted in the Zoo’s Meeting Barn due to weather.

Be sure to bring a camera along for this part of your visit since this is an ideal place for photo ops.  You’ll get special access to a group of animals not normally on exhibit at the Zoo.  And there are different animals to see every day.  Also, don’t miss the chance to interact with and ask questions of our trained keeper and volunteer handlers!

Please note that due to animal care priorities, Creature Encounters interaction times may vary.  Every effort is made to keep to a schedule, however, circumstances may arise that could affect daily viewing times.
