The Maryland Zoo Welcomes “Jungle Jack” Hanna

BALTIMORE – The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is happy to host one of wildlife’s biggest fans and supporters, “Jungle Jack” Hanna, director emeritus of The Columbus Zoo and host of “Into The Wild” and “Wild Countdown,” nationally syndicated television shows. Jack will be appearing on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 7:00 pm in the Kraushaar Auditorium at Goucher College.
Hanna’s “Into the Wild – LIVE” show, presented nationally by Nationwide Insurance, features many of his favorite animal friends, along with stories and footage from his wildlife adventure travels around the world. Tickets are $35 and Zoo members receive a $10 discount per ticket.
For an even wilder adventure, the Zoo will host an intimate VIP reception at 5:00 pm that evening which includes light hor d’ouerves and a meet-and-greet with Jack Hanna along with some of his animal friends. VIP tickets are $75 each, and include reception and reserved VIP seating to the 7:00 pm show. VIP tickets are limited.
Hanna and his animal friends are also frequent guests on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Good Morning America” and “Larry King Live.” Many of the The Maryland Zoo’s own animal ambassadors have also appeared with Jack Hanna on these same shows, as the two zoos often work together to promote wildlife conservation and education.
